Alfredo was born in Spain in 1931. In 1944
he attended the Government School in Madrid, where he learned to paint
on porcelain with professor Pietri. Who was a famous Master of the Royal
factory of Sevres. Alfredo studied there for three years, painting six
days a week eight hours a day. In 1947, he left the school and opened
his own atelier in Madrid. The atelier was a success, so much so that
he had to train 8 apprentices, to help him to fulfill all the orders.
By the year 1956 he was left without parents and in 1957 closed his atelier
and went to England where he lived in London for 8 months. After that
he traveled to Belgium, Holland, France and Germany. In 1958, he left
for Brazil where he established himself in Rio de Janeiro. There, he got
his high school diploma, studied architecture and at the Superior School
of Piano of the University of Brazil studied piano. He also did a lot
of activities and worked as set decorator for television, theater and
movies, but never forgot his porcelain painting. In 1973 he got married
and moved to San Paulo, where he started to paint on porcelain full time
again. Alfredo has two daughters who live in Brazil. |
